Made for complete beginners

Most Polaris students walked in having never touched a pole. Our Beginner 1 classes are built for exactly that day.

  • You don't need to be strong. We build it with you, one class at a time.

  • You don't need to be flexible. Flexibility grows with practice.

  • You don't need dance experience. Every move is broken down step by step.

  • You don't need to be confident. Plenty of our students were nervous in their first class too.

This is a welcoming, non-competitive room. Nobody is ranked, nobody is watching you, and you move at your own pace.

What happens in your first class

  1. Book your spot. Buy the Intro Offer, create your GymMaster login, then book a Beginner 1 class from the timetable.

  2. Arrive 15 minutes early. Your instructor will show you around and introduce you to the class.

  3. Warm up together. Every 60 minute class starts with a warm up to get your body ready.

  4. Learn your first moves. Base spins, twirls, slides, body waves and floor work, with maybe even a cheeky first climb.

  5. Leave with a next step. Your instructor will tell you what you did well and what to work on next.

What to wear and bring

  • Shorts that finish above the knee. Bare skin on your legs grips the pole, so leggings make it harder.

  • A comfortable top, like your regular workout top.

  • Skip moisturiser and body lotion on class day so you don't slip.

  • A water bottle and a small towel.

  • No special shoes. Beginners train barefoot.

Why beginners choose Polaris

  • A teaching system built by a world champion. Polaris was founded by Felix Cane, multiple time World Pole Champion and former Cirque du Soleil performer. That experience shapes how every level is taught.

  • A clear path from day one. Beginner 1, 2 and 3 each run as 8 week courses, so you always know your next step.

  • Practise whenever you like. Our Osborne Park studio is open 24 hours for members, so you can practise between classes on your schedule.

  • A room that cheers for you. Non-competitive, welcoming, and full of people who started exactly where you are.

Find us: Polaris Studios, 2/28 Frobisher Street, Osborne Park WA 6017. Free parking in front of the building. If it's full during business hours, use the street parking nearby and please avoid our neighbours' car parks. After hours, our neighbours are happy for students to use their parking.
